Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing and development of non-fiber, high energy ultrafast laser and amplifier
  • Exploratory research on innovative ultrafast laser
  • Characterization of laser materials
  • Maintenance of equipment/instrument in charge
  • Safe operation in Lab
  • Report and documentation of R&D results
  • Writing for patent application as needed
  • Writing and presenting on research outcome for publication as needed
Job Requirements

If you have the following, IMRA wants to hear from you:

 

  • Ph.D in laser physics, physics, optics, electronic engineering or other laser-related major
  • Expertise in building ultrafast lasers including optical & mechanical designing
  • Solid technical background on blue-UV laser optics or SLAB laser optics
  • Hands-on experience with ultrafast laser: 5 years or more
  • Skilled in 3D CAD software preferred
  • Skilled in optical design software preferred
  • A good deal of knowledge on optical elements preferred
