This position is responsible for new processes and technology development for Micro-LAM’s novel laser-assisted technology and ultra-precision tooling. Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions to overcome challenges on current products and manufacturing processes.
- Lead projects targeting to improve current products and develop new technology.
- Research and develop new processes for laser-assisted machining on hard-to-machine materials.
- Evaluate and enhance current and next gen ultra-precision cutting tooling.
- Plan and execute experiments on ultra-precision equipment.
- Perform various imaging, microscopy, and characterization techniques to better understand the mechanics of material removal.
- Perform metrology, including surface and form measurements on machined parts.
- Assisting customers in process development and application projects, on and off-site.
- Prepare and present technical report to internal groups as well as customers.
- Publish research papers and present at professional conferences/tradeshows. |
