Responsible for the advanced assembly of optical systems for lasers, laser radars and electro-optical sensors and instruments. Assembles and debugs systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components. Follows written procedures developed by engineers and suggests improvements to these procedures to optimize production. Tests assemblies at a system level using laboratory instruments.
Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
Experience & Education:
Requires an AA degree or equivalent technician experience. Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
