Responsible for receiving optical parts from fabrication, coating, or quality assurance and then cleaning parts and substrates for coating and fabrication processes. Reviews drawings and instructions to verify physical dimensions, cleaning methods, and appropriate tooling. Cleans parts using all processes according to instructions. Completes proper records and cleaning logs. Maintains an inventory of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
Skill: As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in creative and effective ways.
Job Complexity: Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
Supervision: Determine methods and procedures on new assignments. May provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel.
Experience & Education: Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred. Requires production experience in optical cleaning, reading, writing and arithmetic skills, and the ability to work with established drawings. Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity are required. Minimum of 4-6 years of related experience.
