Job Description

Member of the Product Development group.  Will work closely with program management, engineering, and manufacturing personnel to develop, enhance, and characterize high power laser products.

Location: Tucson, AZ

Duties

  • Analyze and report technical data to ensure products meet requirements
  • Work closely with product manufacturing staff to ensure expected product performance is achieved
  • Contribute to product assembly and characterization team by completing hands-on tasks as needed
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product deficiencies and lead team to address issues
  • Create and present technical reports for development team and customers
  • Play key role in the product development lifecycle team
  • Work with production and engineering personnel to utilize best practices in new product development

 

Job Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree (MS preferred) in Optical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in laser or semiconductor manufacturing. Strong computer skills required including MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Project.  Experience with Matlab and statistical software such as Minitab highly preferred. Strong communication skills required. Must be goal oriented and use experience and judgment to accomplish goals. Must be fluent in English (i.e., able to comprehend and communicate verbal and written communications and instructions).
