Required Skills/Qualifications:
MSEE degree OR a BSEE degree and 2+ years of electrical design experience. Good written and oral communication skills. Familiar with the principles of analog circuit design (filtering, resonance, ground loops, switching dynamics, loss calculations etc.). Experience testing and troubleshooting in a lab environment using common electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, signal generator, power supply, spectrum analyzer etc.). Able to maintain revision control on work products (software, drawings, bills of materials etc.). Able to track and report tasks against a project schedule. Able to investigate and establish the root cause of failure and prescribe corrective action. Able to follow a structured design & development process. Able to work with suppliers to manage sub-contracted activities. Experience developing electronics for high reliability products.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Experience performing product qualification and verification testing. Experience designing or testing switched-mode power supplies (SMPS). Familiar with the PCB fabrication and assembly process (data package generation, quoting, PCB fabrication, board assembly etc.). Experience designing circuits using Altium Designer CAD tool. Experience simulating circuits using OrCAD PSpice tool.
