Job Description

Working in a small team, you will design and characterize integrated photonic devices. You will also conduct application research of chip-scale optical frequency comb.

 

Job Functions

- Designing & characterizing integrated photonic devices

- Exploratory research on innovative photonic circuits.

- Exploring novel applications of chip-scale optical frequency comb

- Safe lab operation.

- Report and documentation of R&D results.

- Writing for patent application, as needed.

- Writing and presenting on research outcome for publication, as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. in integrated photonics, nonlinear optics, laser physics, physics, electronic engineering, or other optics-related major.

- Expertise in numerical simulation of chip-scale photonic devices.

- Solid technical background on experimental demonstration of integrated photonic devices.

- Skilled in CAD software is preferred.

- A good deal of knowledge on compound semiconductor material is preferred.

- A good deal of knowledge on fabrication of integrated photonic devices is preferred.
