Group / Division
The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.
This candidate will be a member of the optical design functional group in the photomask inspection division. The general responsibilities include creating designs and test methods for the many optical subsystems that make up the inspection tool. The specific focus of this position is in optical metrology. The candidate will support the design of a custom metrology system to verify and adjust the optical performance of our primary imaging system. The candidate will interact closely with the systems engineering group to define performance criteria and system level specification. During the design phase the candidate will work with hardware and software design teams following a rigorous product design protocol. Specific tasks include creating optical models, statistical tolerance analysis, performance predictions, leading design reviews, creating test procedures, and selecting suppliers.
The preferred candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Optical metrology
- Optical alignment
- Statistical lens tolerancing
- Specification of precision opto-mechanical assemblies
- Design for manufacturing
- Hands-on lab work
- Proficiency in CodeV or Zemax
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience OR
- Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience OR
- Doctorate (Academic) with at least 5 years of experience
