ATA develops embedded processing systems for commercial and DoD applications. Job Description

Program Manager - Free Space Optical Communications

Job Description:

ATA is seeking an experienced program manager for its free space optical communications programs.  ATA has experienced significant growth in this market and seeks to expand its leadership team to manage commercial and USG programs.  Candidates must have strong knowledge of Program Management Principles, DoD contracting, and experience in developing and managing program plans, budgets and schedules.  The successful candidate will possess strong technical management experience involving multiple engineering disciplines and have experience managing space or flight hardware programs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Program Management experience ranging from SBIRs to $10M per year programs
  • Successful experience managing FFP contracts and Cost Plus contracts
  • Experience managing Space or Flight HW programs a must
  • Demonstrated expertise in program financial planning, managing and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience using Project scheduling tool
  • Demonstrated experience with on-time, on-budget deliveries
  • Demonstrated strong team leadership skills
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Science degree (minimum)
  • At least 10 years of experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance (A clearance will not be required initially)

Desired:

  • Master of Engineering or Science degree much preferred
  • Current U.S. DoD Clearance
