ATA develops embedded processing systems for commercial and DoD applications. Our primary focus involves the application of state-of-the art, FPGA and System-On-Chip (SOC) devices to high performance video processing, adaptive optics, laser communications, imaging sensors, and a wide range of real-time control systems for inertial measurement units, fast steering mirrors, and stabilized telescopes. The Senior Electrical Engineer is required to have experience with a diverse skillset to support multiple active programs within our organization. The electrical engineer will be an integral member of a joint Government and contractor team that operates in a very dynamic environment. The Advanced EO/IR Sensors Program delivers state-of-the-art EOIR solutions for extremely hard problems. The engineer’s duties will include project management, system engineering and analysis.
Application areas that are required include design, development and testing of electrical systems and sensors. The electrical engineer must be capable of developing software solutions using a variety of programming languages (e.g. MATLAB, C++) at a variety of different levels of complexity. Integration of hardware and software solutions is required. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is the ability to digest existing documentation and source code in order to support and advance existing software systems. A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ electrical system design, development, and testing experience is required, or a similar combination.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance.
A Masters Degree or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering and some combination of work experience.
